Howdy, partner, and welcome back to the weekend.

Does anyone else experience that absolute high and complete euphoria when you hear the words, “Can I see your passport and boarding pass, please?”

Yes and YES. Let’s get to shimmying…

✅ Check out Flying Blue’s June Promo Rewards (e.g. they’re goood).

✅ Score 20% off with Marriott’s Summer Flash Sale (book by Sunday, June 9th).

✅ Speaking of Marriott… Earn 25x points (or more!) on Marriott vacation rentals.

✅ It’s a Disney frenzy out there! Our latest YouTube video will help you experience Disney for cheap using miles and points.

🏆 Favorite pick of the week: New welcome offer for 85,000 Southwest points!

Yooo, Southwest is a BOSS for doing this.

Right now, you can earn 85,000 bonus points with the airline when you sign up for one of their consumer cards and meet the minimum spend. 🎉

Didn’t they just get done dangling the Companion Pass in front of our faces as part of their last elevated offer??

Don’t get me wrong—the Companion Pass is a true baller.

But if you’re a solo traveler or would just rather have more Southwest points in your piggy bank… this deal is for you.

Honestly, this deal should be for everybody. It’s just SO good.

So yeah, if you love and/or regularly fly Southwest and want a ton of their points to use for future flights… I’d jump on this deal before it’s gone 👇

🥇Our June 2024 Top Cards Update

Several credit card graphics fanned out on a blue background

Another month, another solid round of card updates.

There was some exciting movement on our Top Cards page. Of course, our number one didn’t budge because… well, it’s the king 👑

However… TWO hotel cards not only increased their welcome offer bonus, but they also threw in a freaking Free Night Award which is INSANELY valuable.

And, Hilton FNAs are especially valuable because they have no cap when used for a standard room.

You guys. This means you could put an FNA toward a really expensive-ass hotel room for essentially nothing.

If you’d like to read Monday’s full newsletter section, there are a couple of other cards that got some upgrades, plus Mike puts his Hilton FNA to use on a $2,000-a-night room 🤯

🥈 What’s a mattress run? And should you be doing it?

A mattress graphic with arms and legs running on a blue background

A mattress run is when you book a hotel stay that you don’t really need, but the value you get from it actually outweighs the cost of it.

I’ve personally done this a handful of times, but Mike does this A LOT as he travels nearly full-time.

There are sometimes windows of opportunity when a particular sale, promo, or other lucrative offer is being presented that would allow you to come out ahead in points, status earned, or other benefits (compared to the cash you spent to do the mattress run in the first place).

These positive perks of said mattress run then unlock further benefits and superior accommodation opportunities in the future.

And yes, I know it sounds a tad complicated—and to some degree, it is 🤷🏻‍♀️

But even if you aren’t jet-setting around the world working your mattress run magic, there are actually some pretty solid opportunities to do this domestically as well (gasp).

If you want some step-by-step examples of all the rewards you might reap by doing a mattress run (both domestically and internationally), check out this newsletter for the comprehensive deets.
