Happy weekend, party people! šŗ
My friends⦠we have officially entered May.
Anyone elseās allergies playing sick tricks on them?
Iām not saying Iām addicted to Afrin these days⦠but Iām also not, not saying that.
Ok, ok⦠letās get into the travel stuff, shall we? A LOT happened this week! š„

šØ One of our top cards just dropped its juiciest welcome offer⦠ever.
š¤ When should you buy points? The truth is⦠it depends.
āļø KLM and Air France are offering 10k bonus miles on economy flights right now.
šØ You could be earning bonus points from free stays ā hereās how.
š§āš¤āš§ Wells Fargo is on the move⦠and just added Cathay Pacific as a 1:1 transfer partner option.
š³ Hereās how you could earn 7x bonus points on your everyday spending.
š„ This new $95 Capital One card is offering 150,000 miles, and you can learn all about it in this weekās Daily Drop YouTube video.

š Our Favorite Pick: Weāre obsessed with this hotel program
In case you hadnāt noticed⦠hotel programs are keeping things interesting.
(For them.) š
Some of them are honestly changing faster than ya girl can keep up.
Case in point: World of Hyatt just dropped another round of category changes, and⦠yeah, itās mostly vomit-material.

Over 100 hotels are going up in price, some are jumping into higher categories entirely, and a handful will be way harder (or impossible) to book with free-night certificates.
Donāt get me wrong ā Hyatt can still deliver some incredible value.
But moments like this are a good reminder that āfixedā award charts arenāt always as fixed as weād like them to be.
Which brings me to the program we cannot stop thinking about.
Her name is⦠⨠Accor Live Limitless. āØ
And hereās why sheās so ding-dangy delicious: Accor points have a fixed value.
Always. No charts, no peak pricing, no surprise, āJK, thatāll be double the points now.ā
Youāre basically using points like cash at a rate of 2 euro cents per point (roughly 2.3 cents USD). So if a hotel costs ā¬100, youāll need 5,000 points. If itās ā¬200, itās 10,000 points.
As a non-mather, thereās something very, very nice about that level of predictability.
And, instead of hunting for āavailability,ā youāre really just deciding how you want to spend your travel budget, meaning you could:
Book a budget-friendly city stay
Letās say you find a solid Accor hotel in a city like Lisbon or Prague for ā¬110 per night.
For example, you could book this super nice Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square for roughly 5,700 Accor points, which is solid for a bigger city.

Not too shabby and right downtown
Book a boutique stay in Paris
Plenty of Accor properties in Paris hover around ā¬150 to ā¬200 per night, depending on the season. Take the Hotel L'Ćchiquier OpĆ©ra Paris, for example.

On the higher end, thatās just over 10,000 points per night⦠in Paris⦠without needing to pray on your knees for some award availability. š
Sooo⦠yeah. I encourage you to shop around on Accor. Itās honestly fun to see so many options in hot spots around the world. And a single welcome offer could realistically cover about 5 nights and still leave you with points to spare.
It gets better, thoughā¦
Youāre not limited to just room rates. You can use points to cover charges like food, drinks, spa treatments, and other on-property extras⦠all at that same fixed value.
So how do I earn Accor points?
You can transfer points from programs like:
Yes, something like a 2:1 transfer ratio from Capital One might make you pause for a second⦠but the math can still work out well because of that fixed redemption value.
The bigger takeaway here isnāt āditch Hyatt forever,ā but instead a good reminder to diversify a little.
Because when one program starts acting up, itās nice to have a backup that just⦠does exactly what it says it will.

š The largest offer weāve EVER seen from this cardā¦
Holy freaking moly, yāall.
A few days ago, this bank dropped a super-late or super-early Christmas present (depending on how you look at it)⦠right into our laps.
This is the HIGHEST public offer weāve seen on this fan-favorite card⦠like ever.
Weāre talking⦠150,000 bonus points (after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening).
This card has so many travel perks and tons of ways to rack up those sweet UR points, so if youāve been thinking about it⦠nowās the time.
š Check out this insane offer š
Aaaand, if you need help deciding whether or not the annual fee is worth it, here are three testimonials from some beloved Daily Drop team members who all get more than the annual fee in valueā¦. in very different ways. š§

š Week in Review
Monday: š¤ When should you buy points?
Tuesday: š Hyatt just smacked us in the face (again)

Another week has gone by, and still, the world of travel never sleeps. š¤
