Good morning and welcome back to Daily Drop, the lint-roller of newsletters –
we just make your life better without making a big deal about it.

Here’s what we’ve got for you today:

🏨 Yay!!! Hyatt Bonus Journeys is back

Back in the good ‘ol days, we used to see Hyatt drop promotions on the regular. Last year, they seemed to switch to a model where they send out targeted offers and fewer global promotions.

But now, they’ve just dropped a new “Bonus Journeys” promotion that could earn you up to 28,000 bonus Hyatt points this year.

Here is how it works:

  • Register for the offer

  • Earn 3,000 bonus points for every three nights stayed (up to 21k bonus points)

  • Earn an extra 1,000 bonus points per three nights at Hyatt Place and Hyatt Select hotels (up to 7k bonus points)

  • Stays booked with cash or points count

  • Valid for stays through April 15

At a minimum, this means you’re earning 1,000 bonus points per night (more if you’re staying at Hyatt Place).

If you’re using points to book hotels, you can think of this as a nice rebate. And considering Hyatt Category 1 properties start at just 3,500 points per night, you could be getting a 29% rebate per night.

For example, my favorite hotel in the world is this Alila property in Solo, Indonesia (my happy place), which costs just 3,500 points per night.

I lived in this hotel for like a month in 2024

Booking hotels like these will cost you a net 2,500 points per night with this promo, which is amazing.

But it gets better… You see, this promotion also stacks with Hyatt’s other promotion to earn 5,000 bonus points for every 5-night stay at Hyatt House and Hyatt Studios.

So let’s say you are taking a safari in Kenya (which you booked with points) and want to spend some time in Nairobi on your way to or from the park.

You could stay at this Hyatt House in Nairobi’s Westlands neighborhood (my favorite part of Nairobi) for just 3,500 points per night.

Booking a 6-night stay here would run you as few as 21,000 points. But here’s what you’d get back:

  • 5,000 points from Hyatt’s promotion

  • 6,000 points from this Bonus Journeys promotion

  • Total: 11,000 points

In other words, you’re paying a total of 10,000 points for six nights, which comes out to 1,667 points per night (hence the subject line of this email).

I mean… wtf. That’s crazy. Booking a Hyatt hotel for 1,600 points makes me feel like I got away with something I shouldn’t have.

Hyatt points are extremely valuable, but they’re also easy to earn. You can transfer them instantly at a 1:1 ratio from both Bilt Rewards and UR points.

So make sure you register for the offer and plan your stays before April 15.

✈️ Flying Blue Promo Rewards (February 2026)

Flying Blue is out with another batch of monthly Promo Rewards. For those of you who are not familiar, let me explain:

Every month, Flying Blue (the points program for KLM and Air France) offers discounted points flights between the U.S. and Europe, but only for specific routes.

This month’s set of discounts isn’t anything to write home about, sadly.

You can get 25% off award flights between Europe and the following U.S. cities in economy class only:

  • Phoenix

  • Dallas

  • Montreal

  • San Francisco

  • Boston

  • New York

I think the West Coast cities are more exciting here, since we have cheaper options with other programs flying from the East Coast to Europe.

Still, if you live in any of these cities, flying to Europe for 18,750 miles without needing to position to a big hub is great.

For example, you could fly from Phoenix to Rome with a quick stop in Paris for just 18,750 miles, even in mid-July.

That’s not a bad deal for peak travel season.

The downside to Promo Rewards is that you need to book your travel by the end of this month.

Thankfully, these rates are valid for travel through the end of July, which makes it a perfect booking tactic for your spring break or summer Eurotrip plans.

Flying Blue miles are the easiest airline currency to earn. You can transfer points from all of the following programs at a 1:1 ratio:

If you go to Flying Blue’s Promo Rewards page, you might see some other deals that look like this:

Flying Blu exclusive Promo Rewards

The deals marked with “Extra Exclusive” are only for subscribers to Flying Blue Extra, which costs hundreds of dollars per year – hence why I didn’t really mention them.

So yeah… this is some low-hanging fruit for Europe travel.

🤔 Which Trusted Traveler Program is best?

When you roll up to the airport, you probably see signs for TSA PreCheckÂŽ, CLEAR, etc. And when you land after an international trip, you might see a sign for Global Entry and Nexus, where people seem to be speeding through immigration.

But what do each of these programs actually do? And which one is best?

In this week’s Daily Drop YouTube video, we break down these Trusted Traveler Programs and which ones you should care about most.

🥾 My favorite hiking buddy

Hey friends, Alison here! 👋

Quick question: Where did January go? It came in HOT and then disappeared without a trace.

Luckily, I’m in California, where I’ve been able to stay warm-ish (and avoid most of the wild storms… hopefully you’ve stayed safe too).

That also means I’ve been able to get outside for some winter hikes in the Sierra Nevada foothills — and LMNT’s on-the-go electrolyte packets have been my trusty sidekick.

LMNT’s electrolyte mix has no added sugar, travels easily, and gives me the perfect balance of sodium, potassium, and magnesium to keep me feeling ready for a long hike… or even just a busy day.

Bonus: It helps with energy, focus, and just generally feeling less “why do I feel off today?” for no reason.

And because LMNT always takes care of Daily Drop readers, you get a little extra perk:

Get a FREE sample pack (that’s eight flavors!) with any purchase at DrinkLMNT.com/DAILYDROP.

Cheers to fresh air, warmer weather, and staying hydrated through it all.

That’s all for today, folks. February is really off to quite a bang in the points and miles world, which we love to see.

Have a wonderful day, and see you tomorrow. ❤️
