If you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, you may have noticed something new in your Chase account — The Shops at Chase.
This exclusive shopping platform lets Sapphire Reserve cardholders buy items from high-end brands using cash, Chase Ultimate Rewards, or a mix of both.
Let’s look at what we know about The Shops at Chase so far.

The Shops at Chase is a new shopping platform exclusively for Sapphire Reserve cardholders.
This platform is not a shopping portal, which we commonly see across many bank, hotel, and airline loyalty programs. Rather, The Shops at Chase is a curated storefront where Chase sells products directly through its brand partnerships.

This list is a tad niche, but there are still a handful of recognizable brands, even if you aren’t into all the high-end fuss. Chase teased up to 30 brands coming soon.
🙌 Heads Up: The revamped Sapphire Reserve comes with a $250 credit to use at The Shops at Chase… but you must spend $75,000 on your card in a calendar year to unlock it. If you do manage to hit that threshold, consider the credit just a tiny cherry on top.

This is where you’ll see the payment breakdown. If you opt to pay with points, you’ll be able to redeem them for just 1 cent per point. That’s the same value you’d get for cash back — and less than you’d often get through travel redemptions — so overall, this isn’t a great redemption option. However, if you’ve spotted a $500 suitcase that you really need (but don’t want to pay cash for), you could always use 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to cover the cost.
You’re also allowed to use a combination of your points and cash. Only want to use 25,000 points? That’s fine, but you’ll still need to cover the remaining $250 with cash.
💡 Pro Tip: You’ll get much greater value by transferring your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to airline or hotel partners — sometimes far upwards of 2 cents per point!
Other Things to Know
It appears that Chase currently offers free shipping on all orders placed through The Shops at Chase, with no minimum spend required. Most items come with a standard 30-day return window, but your credit card may also include return protection if you need a little extra coverage.
The platform’s homepage also includes direct links to activate Chase Offers and access the Ultimate Rewards shopping portal. So if you were worried this new platform might replace those features, no need — they’re sticking around.
Bottom Line
The Shops at Chase gives Sapphire Reserve cardholders the option to spend their points (or cash) on high-end gear — directly through Chase.
Redeeming points here only gets you 1 cent each, which isn’t the strongest value. But if you have a healthy stash of points and spot something you love, it’s an easy, no-stress way to check out. And being able to split payment between points and cash adds some nice flexibility.
