At Daily Drop, our mission is simple: to help you explore the world affordably and experience life-changing travel by maximizing miles and points. Our team of travel and credit card experts is here to help you make decisions about which cards belong in your wallet. Based on your travel goals, we offer unbiased advice to help you make the best choices. Keep in mind that our suggestions require responsible credit card use.
Here at Daily Drop, we score cards based on six different categories: annual fee, welcome offer, point redemption value, rewards rates, benefits, and travel protections. You’ll notice that APR is not considered because we never recommend carrying a credit card balance if your goal is to maximize miles and points for travel. While these scores are opinion-based, our team has earned and redeemed millions of miles and points and has traveled to almost every country in the world. After all, we wouldn’t be Daily Drop if we weren’t practicing what we preach.

The Blue Cash Everyday is an easy one to keep in your wallet. It gives without asking for much in return. And, it plays well with others. There's literally no annual fee, but it still racks up solid cash back on groceries, gas, and online shopping.
If you want a card that doesn't require much thought and earns on everyday spending this is a great option. And, I've personally recommended it to friends as a great starter card. It's low commitment, easy to use, and pretty rewarding.

[.dontreco] We don’t recommend: Forgetting to redeem your rewards [.dontreco]
While the rewards are straightforward, make sure to regularly check your cash back balance and redeem it as needed. It's easy to let it accumulate without taking advantage of it.
[.sometimesreco] We sometimes recommend: Using it for Amazon purchases [.sometimesreco]
With the option to use cash back at checkout, the Blue Cash Everyday is a great option for your Amazon purchases.
[.alwaysreco] We always recommend: Using it for everyday purchases like groceries and gas [.alwaysreco]
Because of its great cash-back rates, use the Blue Cash Everyday for all your day-to-day spending. It's an effortless way to earn consistent rewards.
If you’re looking to get more serious about your travel game, pairing the Blue Cash Everyday with a premium travel card like the Amex Platinum means you can keep earning big on groceries and gas while tapping into lounges, hotel credits, and points earned on flights. It’s a classic high-low situation that balances everyday cash back with boujee travel perks.
The Chase Freedom Unlimited is a great partner because it earns generous cash back on all purchases, plus extra on travel booked through Chase. While the Blue Cash Everyday is great at supermarkets, gas, and online shopping, the Freedom Unlimited covers literally everything else, helping you max cash back on non-bonus categories.
If you’re brand new to rewards cards, it’s tough to do better than a no-annual-fee option with strong everyday cash back. This card’s super forgiving if you’re still figuring things out, and no annual fee means no pressure.
With solid cash back on U.S. online retail purchases, your Amazon hauls and retail therapy sessions are all working for you. It’s basically a tiny rebate on all shopping days. And, if you spend a ton on groceries or constantly fill up the tank? This card is great for you, too. The earnings rates mean even normal errands put some cash back in your pocket.
If you’re after travel benefits like free checked bags, lounge access, or global entry credits, this isn’t your card. And if you consistently spend way more than $6,000 annually at supermarkets, you might be better served by the Blue Cash Preferred® for its higher earnings rate (even with its fee).
The recommended credit score for the Blue Cash Everyday is good. But again, if you’re in a decent place with your credit and feel you are ready for a new card, don’t let the fear of being rejected keep you from applying. And generally speaking, this is a beginner card. It should help you build up your portfolio when used responsibly.
