âď¸ Good morning and welcome back to Daily Drop â like a layover with great lounge access: comfortable, entertaining, and over way too fast.
Iâve got some fun stuff for you today, so letâs get started:

đ Flash sale: South America flights for 2,600 miles
If youâve been craving an adventure somewhere new (or somewhere you can barely pronounce), Avianca LifeMiles just dropped a flash sale thatâs basically begging you to book.
đ You can book by August 19 for travel through November 30, 2025, on Avianca-operated flights from the U.S. to Central and South America.
The award prices are so low they almost look like typos â and theyâre perfect whether youâre traveling solo or bringing the whole crew.
Here are some jaw-dropping examples:
Miami (MIA) â Santa Cruz, Bolivia (VVI): 2,650 miles
Washington, D.C. (IAD) â BogotĂĄ, Colombia (BOG): 3,380 miles
Houston (IAH) â San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO): 4,040 miles
Tampa (TPA) â Lima (LIM): 7,490 miles
Thatâs international travel for fewer miles than many domestic flights â and because the mileage rates are so low, booking multiple seats is actually realistic.
A family of four could fly from Miami to Bolivia for just 11,200 total miles, leaving plenty of points for the next trip.
These deals are even sweeter because LifeMiles are incredibly easy to earn.
You can transfer points from most U.S. banks, and most transfers post instantly â meaning you can spot a fare, move points over, and book before it disappears.
Just remember: these promo awards are non-changeable and non-refundable, so make sure your plans are solid before you lock them in.
Then itâs just a matter of deciding whether youâre in the mood for Colombian coffee, Ecuadorian markets, or Bolivian highlands. đ

Singapore KrisFlyerâs latest Spontaneous Escapes are live for September 2025 travel. Book by August 31 and save up to 30% on award tickets.
While there are no business-class deals touching the U.S. this month, there are still plenty of Economy and Premium Economy sweet spots worth your miles.
Economy highlights
Los Angeles (LAX) â Singapore (SIN) â 29,400 miles one-way
Los Angeles (LAX) â Tokyo (NRT) â 26,950 miles one-way
San Francisco (SFO) â Singapore (SIN) â 29,400 miles one-way
New York (JFK) â Frankfurt (FRA) â 17,500 miles one-way
New York (JFK) â Frankfurt (FRA) â 36,400 miles one-way
Los Angeles (LAX) â Tokyo (NRT) â 51,100 miles one-way
San Francisco (SFO) â Singapore (SIN) â 52,500 miles one-way
New York (JFK/EWR) â Singapore (SIN) â 56,350 miles one-way
Why this is worth a look
Even without lie-flat seats, these are great long-haul deals â especially in Premium Economy, where cash fares can be brutal and the mid-tier seat can be a major upgrade when youâre in the air for 15+ hours.
But even those economy flights to Europe for 17,500 miles are fantastic â and cheaper than Flying Blueâs discounted Promo Rewards to Europe.
Singapore KrisFlyer miles are easy to earn since you can transfer from Membership Rewards points, Capital One Miles, ThankYou points, or Bilt Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.
Book by August 31 on Singaporeâs site or app to lock in these deals, and remember â no changes or refunds once you lock it in.

đ Amtrak Fall Sale: Fares from $15 (book by Wednesday)
Have you ever flown between cities like New York and Washington, D.C. and wondered if it was really worth the airport hassle?
This yearâs Amtrak National Fall Flash Sale might just convince you to switch tracks (pun very much intended).
Book by Wednesday, August 20, 2025, for travel between September 3 and November 13, 2025, and save up to 25% off Coach fares on select Amtrak routes.
Some of these prices are hard to beat:
Boston â Providence: $15
Miami â Tampa: $18
NYC â Washington, D.C.: $21
Baltimore â NYC: $42
Boston â NYC: $45
Los Angeles â Sacramento: $61
Chicago â NYC: $81
For trips like New York to D.C., the train is often the smarter move, especially for the price. đ

A flight may be just 90 minutes in the air, but door-to-door, youâre looking at nearly four hours once you factor in travel to the airport, security, boarding, and getting back into the city.
With Amtrak, you hop on at Penn Station, relax for three hours, and step off right into downtown D.C.
đĄ Pro Tip: Coach passengers can now buy Amtrak Metropolitan Lounge day passes at any location for $35â$50 â or just 1,500 Amtrak Guest Rewards points.
Why itâs smarter than air travel:
Skip airport chaos. No TSA lines, no boarding bottlenecks â just arrive at the station, hop on, and go.
Time wins long term. Avoid two-hour early arrivals, security delays, and transit to/from downtown â and still get there faster overall.
These sale fares are Coach only, non-refundable, and will incur a steep fee for changes â so book with confidence and a clear calendar.
Check your route and book before August 20 to make the most of it.
