Get ready, tennis fans! The US Open is back in New York City, and the action isn’t just on the court.
With the right card in your wallet, you can swap a hot bleacher seat for a cool lounge, sneak away to shaded terraces with epic views, sip Honey Deuces during happy hour, and even score some unique freebies.
Here’s how Chase and American Express are serving up serious perks for cardholders this year. 🎾
Chase Cardholder Perks
If you’ve got a Chase credit card or bank account, you’re in for some solid upgrades.
Chase Lounge (Reservations Required)

Located in the Chase Center by the East Gate, this is your escape from the summer heat. Expect air conditioning (trust us, you’ll need it 🥵), complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, a private cash bar, live ESPN coverage, free hats, and sweets from NYC’s viral Lil Sweet Treat.
👀 How to get in: Book at ChaseGetsYouCloser.com starting at 9 a.m. ET the day before your session. Space is very limited, but waitlists may be available for walk-ins.
Chase Terrace (First-Come, First-Served)
The Chase Terrace is a first-come, first-served outdoor lounge with shaded seating and tables. It offers elevated views of courts 8, 9, and 10, along with complimentary snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and a cash bar.
👀 How to get in: No reservations, but arrive early as capacity is limited.
Free Phone Chargers for All
Everyone (even non-cardholders) can rent free portable phone chargers at Chase stations around the grounds.
Local Treats and Pop-Ups
Chase is partnering with several of its small business customers.
Lil Sweet Treat will sell tennis-shaped candy on-site and in Manhattan on Aug. 23 and 24. Pay with a Chase card like the Chase Freedom Unlimited® for 10% off.
Artist Anastasia Inciardi will have a vending machine at the Seaport dispensing mini Chase x US Open art prints. Some lucky visitors will win US Open tickets.
Round21 is launching a women’s tennis-themed capsule collection, available online.
Extra Perks for Chase Sapphire Reserve Cardmembers
If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Sapphire Reserve for Business℠, you get even more exclusive benefits.
From Aug. 18 to Aug. 21, cardholders can visit the Sapphire Stadium at Seaport Square, a full-sized tennis court that will host open play, clinics, and lessons with local pros and tennis star Jessica Pegula.
On Aug. 20, the Racquet Magazine Launch Party kicks off with cocktails, music, and mingling with current players.
Both experiences can be booked with points via the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal.

American Express Cardholder Perks
American Express is also bringing plenty of extras for its cardholders.
Centurion Lounge (Reservations Required)

This fancy space is just for those with The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, and The Centurion® Card from American Express.
Like the airport Centurion Lounges, it offers complimentary light bites and drinks, as well as US Open-themed giveaways.
👀 How to get in: The Centurion Lounge is located on the second level of Louis Armstrong Stadium. As with the Chase Lounge, space is very limited. You must make a reservation through Resy, which is made available daily at 9:30 a.m. ET starting Aug. 24.
Amex Platinum and Amex Business Platinum cardholders can reserve tables for up to two people, while Centurion cardholders can book a table for up to four.
Amex Card Member Lounge (First-Come, First-Served)
All Amex cardholders (except prepaid) get access to a lounge above the Fan Experience. Expect a cash bar, exclusive Ralph Lauren merchandise, and other unique experiences like live portrait sketches or a limited-edition ice cream flavor.
👀 How to get in: Access is first-come, first-served, and you can bring two guests. Just flash your eligible Amex card.
American Express Fan Experience (Open to Everyone)

The Fan Experience is a 20,000-square-foot interactive space open to all US Open attendees. Located near the Main Entry, it features activities like a Glow Tennis mixed-reality game, a claw machine game, and an interactive live mural. I really appreciated the free cryofacials here last year! 💆🏻♀️
Discounted Bag Check
If you have an extra or oversized bag, American Express cardholders can get a $5 discount on bag check at the East and South gates.
On-site Cash Back Offer

By enrolling an eligible card in the Amex Offer, you can get a one-time $10 statement credit after spending $100 or more at participating merchants on-site (terms apply).
Pro Tip: Double Dip on Perks
Who says lounge hopping is just for airports? If you carry premium cards from both Chase and Amex, you could spend your day bouncing between lounges, enjoying back-to-back happy hours, and scoring free treats all over the grounds — without missing a single serve. With Honey Deuces at $23 a pop this year, those free snacks and drinks can really add up.
Bottom Line
The 2025 US Open is just as much about what’s in your wallet as what’s happening on the court. Credit cards aren’t just for racking up travel rewards — they can unlock VIP access, exclusive lounges, fun freebies, and unique experiences at events like this.
By planning ahead and arriving early, you can make the most of your day at the tournament. 🏆
