š Our Favorite Pick: What is the new Points Boost feature?

If youāve been reading Daily Drop lately, youāve heard us go on (and on) about this card refresh. New perks, boosted earning rates, shiny new benefits⦠and yes, a higher annual fee.
We promise weāll stop gushing soon (okay, weāll try š¬), but one change in particular has everyone talking: Points Boost. And itās not just for the bankās top-tier card.
Points Boost is also available with our most popular card, as well as this OG business card, and this brand new one.
So⦠what is Points Boost?
Itās a new way to redeem points inside the bankās travel portal at varying rates, depending on which card you have:
Newly revamped card and business version: Points are worth up to 2 cents each for select premium air cabin tickets and hotels (including luxury The Edit properties)
Our favorite card and this trustee business one: Points are worth up to 1.5x on select flights and hotels, and up to 1.75x on select premium cabin tickets
These changes replaced the fixed redemption values that these cards previously had. Some people arenāt fans (yet), but overall, I think itās a net positive for us.
For example, the overwhelming majority of hotels Iāve searched for in the portal have brought up a redemption value of 1.5 cents. Just like this one in San Francisco š

Iāve even found flights with the 2 cents-per-point valuation that Points Boost promises us, though the hotel redemptions seem to be much more consistent overall.
If youāve been nervous about transferring your points and navigating that whole process, using the Points Boost feature is now a great option to get pretty decent value for your points ā but always do your research before pulling the trigger.
I wasnāt a huge fan of this bankās travel portal before, but⦠I see a lot more bookings in my future. š
